LEGO Minifigures series list 2021–2026: box codes, dates and prices

LEGO Minifigures series list 2021–2026: box codes, dates and prices

As of October 25, 2026. LEGO Minifigures, the Collectible Minifigures line that fans call CMF, come one figure per blind box, with set numbers in the 71xxx range. From January 2021 to September 2026 LEGO released 17 series: sixteen with 12 figures each and Disney 100 with 18. In May 2025 the same slot went to 12 F1 Collectible Race Cars instead. Only two of these were still listed as available on LEGO.com UK on October 20, 2026: the Shrek Series (71053, marked New) and Series 29 (71052, Retiring soon). The list price per box is $4.99 in the US, CA$5.99 in Canada, £3.49 in the UK and A$5.99 in Australia.

LEGO Minifigures series covers 2024–2026: Series 25 (71045), Series 26: Space (71046), Dungeons & Dragons (71047), Series 27 (71048), F1 Collectible Race Cars (71049), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (71050), Series 28: Animals (71051), Series 29 (71052), Shrek Series (71053)
2024–2026: nine series, 71045 to 71053

A few things the list shows. Series 21 cut a full series from 16 figures to 12, and every series since has stayed at 12 apart from Disney 100 (The Brothers Brick, Jay's Brick Blog). Since 2022 new waves have landed three times a year, on January 1, May 1 and September 1, and the January one has always been a numbered series. Set numbers skip: 71036, for example, is not a series of its own but a six-pack of Series 23 bags. Counting back to Series 1 (set 8683) in 2010, Shrek is the 51st Collectible Minifigures series, a total that Wikipedia and the BrickLink catalogue agree on. Series older than 2021 are not in the ColleX catalogue yet.

How to tell which LEGO minifigure is in the box

Scan it. Every series from Series 25 (January 2024) on has a square Data Matrix code, often called a QR code, printed next to the barcode on the bottom of the box. Any scanner app that reads Data Matrix will do, and the first seven digits identify the figure.

One catch matters if you shop in North America. According to Jay's Brick Blog, boxes for the US and Canada come from LEGO's plant in Mexico (an R as the fourth character of the printed line under the square), while UK and EU boxes come from Kladno in the Czech Republic (an S), and the two carry different codes. In Series 25, for instance, the Vampire Knight reads 6471970 on a US box and 6472871 on a European one. The Shrek Series has one code per figure on US boxes and two on UK and EU boxes, 36 in all, listed in our Shrek box codes guide. There are separate guides for Series 28: Animals and Series 29, and code tables on the set pages for Series 25, Series 26, Series 27, Dungeons & Dragons and Spider-Verse. The F1 cars have a code too, but only one public list of them exists, so ColleX does not show it.

If you are asking how to tell what LEGO minifigure is in the bag, you are holding something from 2023 or earlier. Those bags carry no figure code, so collectors feel for the largest piece; the set pages for Series 21–24, Looney Tunes, Marvel Series 1, The Muppets and Disney 100 list what to feel for. Marvel Series 2 (71039) was the first series in cardboard, before codes were added, and Jay's Brick Blog's only suggestion for it was weighing boxes on precise scales.

LEGO Minifigures prices in the US, Canada, UK and Australia

AustraliaA$5.99LEGO.com Australia list price (Merlin's Bricks); Myer, A$4.79 on sale from A$5.99, in store only, Oct 25, 2026

How much is a box of LEGO minifigures? A retailer's sealed box holds 36, which at list price is $179.64 in the US, CA$215.64 in Canada, £125.64 in the UK and A$215.64 in Australia. The cheapest possible full series is 12 boxes with no repeats: $59.88, CA$71.88, £41.88 or A$71.88. Another source of minifigures this season is the five LEGO advent calendars of 2026, with Doctor Doom, The Mandalorian and two Santas.

Rarest LEGO minifigures and the box of 36

None, officially. LEGO marks no figure in the current series as rare and does not publish how many of each go into a box of 36. Reviewers at The Brothers Brick and Jay's Brick Blog found exactly three complete sets in such a box for Series 21 to 24, and Jay's Brick Blog and Brickshow found two sets of 18 in a Disney 100 box, but that is not a promise: The Brothers Brick's Muppets box held four Gonzos and only two Kermits. ColleX does not call any figure "most valuable" without checked prices from two sources.

Series 30: rumoured, not confirmed

LEGO had not announced Series 30 as of October 25, 2026, and on October 20 there was still no 71054 page on LEGO.com. What follows comes from other outlets, not from LEGO:

  • StoneWars, June 25, 2026, citing the Polish fan blog fanklockow.pl: 12 figures and a January 1, 2027 release, with descriptions such as a raven-shield knight, an oni warrior in samurai armour, a crab-like sea monster, a woman in a teddy bear costume with her baby, and a Venetian gondolier. No official names or set number.
  • Picklebricks, September 17 (no year shown on the page): Series 30 in January 2027, then a second F1 wave (71055) around April or May 2027. Brick Fanatics reported the F1 Series 2 claim from an insider on July 4, 2026.
  • BrickIDFinder, updated September 25, 2026: new unofficial images circulated on September 24; LEGO has not commented.

No source gives regional dates, so nothing is known yet about a separate Australian release date. The Shrek Series is not Series 30: LEGO calls set 71053 the Shrek Series, and no numbered series has followed Series 29 so far.

Frequently asked questions

How many LEGO Minifigures series are there?
From Series 1 (8683) in 2010 to the Shrek Series in September 2026 there have been 51 Collectible Minifigures series, according to Wikipedia and BrickLink. Seventeen of them came out between 2021 and 2026, plus 12 F1 race cars (71049) sold in the same boxes in May 2025.

How do you tell which LEGO minifigure is in the box?
For Series 25 (January 2024) and later, scan the square Data Matrix code on the bottom of the box; the first seven digits identify the figure. US and Canadian boxes carry different codes from UK and EU boxes, so check the list that matches where the box was made. Earlier series came in bags with no code.

Can you buy individual LEGO minifigures from a series?
Not by choice in a new box: LEGO.com and shops sell each box at random. The only way to pick a figure from sealed stock is to scan the code before you buy, which works from Series 25 onwards.

When does LEGO Minifigures Series 30 come out?
It is not officially confirmed: LEGO had not announced Series 30 by October 25, 2026. Rumours from StoneWars (June 25, 2026) and Picklebricks point to 12 figures in January 2027.

Is the Shrek series LEGO Minifigures Series 30?
No. The Shrek Series is the licensed set 71053, released on September 1, 2026. The latest numbered series is Series 29 (71052, May 2026), and Series 30 has not been released.

Which LEGO Minifigures series are still in stores?
On October 20, 2026, LEGO.com UK listed only the Shrek Series (New) and Series 29 (Retiring soon) as available; the older 2021–2026 series were marked retired. Availability also differs by country: on October 18, Series 28 was retired on LEGO.com UK but still sold on LEGO.com in Germany, Italy and Poland.

Can I trade duplicate LEGO minifigures on ColleX?
The checklist and your marks work in every country. Trading and selling duplicates is available where the ColleX Market is open: there you set the quantity to 2 or more on a figure you Have, mark the ones you Want, and agree the details in chat.
