Kinder Joy toys 2026 in the USA: all collections, dates and toy counts

Ferrero North America said in March that Kinder will “launch two new collections every six months”. In 2026 that meant one themed pair in spring and another in summer, with the licensed Super Mario and Stranger Things series running alongside.

Super Mario: December 2025 to April 2026

Kinder Joy and Nintendo announced the US collection on 2 December 2025: one of 26 Super Mario toys in each egg, at major retailers nationwide from December through April 2026. Ferrero lists 3D figurines, pen and zipper decorations, Toad Question Block photo and sticky holders, and Boo and Spiny mini clips, with Mario, Yoshi and the Super Star among the characters.

Europe got its Super Mario Kinder Joy earlier, in spring 2025 — Italy from March, Germany from May. Our Kinder Joy Super Mario checklist follows that European assortment and has 30 pieces against the 26 in Ferrero’s US announcement; we have not matched the American toys code by code. On 22 October 2026 Kinder’s US toy catalogue no longer showed the series.

Unicorns & Racing: spring 2026

Ferrero introduced its themed Kinder Joy pair Unicorns & Racing on 16 March 2026: 40 toys across two themes. Racing brings race cars, motorcycles and driver figurines; Unicorns brings unicorns with technicolor manes and sparkly add-ons. Every toy works with Kinder’s free Applaydu app. Ferrero has published neither the split between the two themes nor a list of the toys or their codes.

This is a Kinder Joy line and a different product from Europe’s Kinder Unicorns, a 2025 Kinder Surprise series of 34 toys. Without American codes we cannot say whether any toys are shared.

Stranger Things × Funko: on sale since spring 2026

Trade coverage of the Sweets & Snacks Expo on 19 and 22 May 2026 already described the Kinder Joy × Stranger Things eggs as available nationwide. Ferrero’s own release followed on 2 June, tying the collection to the show’s 10th anniversary in July: 24 surprises made with Funko, from minis to clip-on accessories, with Eleven, Max, Dustin in his Thinking Cap, the Demogorgons and Vecna. Real-world figures come paired with Upside Down versions, some in an iridescent finish. The eggs are part of Ferrero’s Halloween 2026 line-up too, on sale while supplies last.

For collectors the useful part is that the American set is the European one. Kinder’s US collection page names all 24 pieces — Will, Dustin, Hopper, Max and Steve each in a regular and an Upside Down version, Eleven, the Demogorgon, Lucas, Mike and ten zipper, cable, pencil and phone-holder accessories — and Kinder’s US toy catalogue files them under codes VC259–VC269, VC271, VC273–VC277, VC283–VC288 and VC356. Those are the same 24 codes as our Kinder Joy Stranger Things checklist, built from the European eggs that reached Spain and Portugal in September 2025. So if you are looking up Kinder Joy Stranger Things codes for the USA, that checklist is the list for American eggs too.

Fairies & Friends and Dinosaurs & Dragons: summer 2026

The second themed pair adds 48 toys. Fairies & Friends has dolls, figurines and matching accessories; Dinosaurs & Dragons has dinosaur and dragon figures, action toys and accessories, designed for assembly and play. Trade press dates the start to July (Confectionery Production, 25 July 2026) or August (Candy Industry, 4 August 2026). Kinder’s US site sells them as Fairies and Dinos eggs, single and in packs of 3, 6, 12, 15 and 20.

Ferrero has not published a toy list. Kinder’s US online toy catalogue, though, has two Kinder Joy sections of 24 toys each: one with fairies and one called Adventurous, whose pictures show dinosaurs, dragons and explorer figures. The catalogue does not label them with the press-release names, so here they are as Kinder files them:

Eighteen of the fairy codes are already on our Kinder Surprise fairies 2025/2026 checklist, where they came out of European Kinder Surprise eggs: the flower-skirt fairies VT025A, VT025B, VT026A and VT026B, the petal fairies VT038A and VT038B, the butterfly fairies VT076B and VT076C, the fairy houses VT048D and VT048E, the crystal-animal bracelets VT035A, VT035B, VT036A and VT036B, the rings VT040B and VT041C and the dangles VT049A and VT209A. Six codes are new to us: VD144C, VD145C, VS426, VS426A, VS438 and VS438A.

None of the 24 Adventurous codes is in our catalogue: VQ013, VQ088, VQ089, VQ094, VQ095, VQ106, VQ107, VQ187, VQ188, VQ294, VQ295, VT046, VT052, VT084, VT085, VT086, VT151B, VT151C, VT162, VT163, VT181, VT202, VT204 and VT220. So they are not the toys of Kinder Dragons (VC128 to VC255A) or of the Kinder Surprise Natoons Dinosaurs (VC097 to VC123).

Halloween 2026: glow-in-the-dark eggs

The seasonal Kinder Joy Halloween egg pairs the usual cream-and-wafer treat with a glow-in-the-dark Halloween toy. Kinder’s US Halloween 2026 page offers it in 6-, 12- and 15-count packs, and Ferrero’s Halloween line-up, as covered by Homecrux (10 August) and Haunted Attraction Network (14 August, updated 13 October), describes the same egg. Kinder has not published how many Halloween toys there are or what they look like, and the store listings we tried to open were blocked, so we leave the number out until Kinder confirms it.

Also in Kinder’s US catalogue: Gabby’s Dollhouse

One more Kinder Joy section sits in Kinder’s US toy catalogue: Gabby’s Dollhouse, seven toys with codes VC338, VC339, VC339A and VC340 to VC343 — the same seven as our Gabby’s Dollhouse checklist. In Europe these figures came in Kinder Surprise eggs, in Germany from September 2025. We know of the American version only from that catalogue: we found no Ferrero USA announcement and no US date for it.

How the US line-up differs from Europe

• Different collections in the same year. Europe’s Kinder Joy series of 2026 include One Piece × Funko and Minecraft on the continent and Wonka × Funko in the UK, all covered in our European overview of 2026. Neither Ferrero’s US press room nor Kinder’s US site mentions a One Piece Kinder Joy (checked 22 October 2026).
• Same licence, different timing. Stranger Things reached Europe in autumn 2025 and the US in spring 2026; Super Mario was a spring 2025 series in Italy and Germany and a December 2025 one in the US.
• Same toys, same codes. Where a series exists on both sides of the Atlantic, Kinder’s codes match: 24 of 24 for Stranger Things, 7 of 7 for Gabby’s Dollhouse, 18 of 24 for the fairies. The code is printed on the leaflet in the capsule; its two letters mark the Kinder season, as explained in our guide to VC codes.
• Themes instead of licences. Unicorns & Racing, Fairies & Friends and Dinosaurs & Dragons carry no licensed brand in Ferrero’s announcements, and Ferrero published no code lists for them.

What comes next

Ferrero USA announced on 7 October 2026 a Kinder Joy collectible Marvel toy assortment, with Spider-Man, Captain America, Black Panther and other Marvel heroes in its imagery, coming in summer 2027. That is a single source so far, Ferrero’s own release, and it gives no toy count. Do not confuse it with the Kinder Chocolate Big Egg, which Ferrero brings to the US for Easter 2027 with an Avengers figure over five inches tall, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Black Panther among them: that is a chocolate egg, not Kinder Joy. As of 22 October 2026 Ferrero had announced no themed Kinder Joy pair for winter 2026/27.

Open any of the checklists above, mark the toys you already have and ColleX keeps the list of what is still missing. We will add the Halloween toys and the Marvel assortment here as soon as Kinder publishes them.
