LEGO Minifigures Series 7 (8831), spring 2012: all 16 figures from Bagpiper to Evil Knight, and the seven that came only three to a 60-bag box.

LEGO Minifigures Series 7, set 8831, reached shops in spring 2012. Its 16 characters are Swimming Champion, Aztec Warrior, Bunny Suit Guy, Bride, Ocean King, Bagpiper, Daredevil, Galaxy Patrol, Tennis Ace, Jungle Boy, Hippie, Computer Programmer, Viking Woman, Evil Knight, Rocker Girl and Grandma Visitor. The line-up mixes fairy tales, sport and sci-fi. Grandma Visitor is Little Red Riding Hood on her way to Grandma’s house (Wikipedia, Eurobricks, BZPower). The Bagpiper brings a finely moulded set of bagpipes, and the Evil Knight carries a shield with a red boar – a must for castle collectors, in BZPower’s view. The Computer Programmer comes with a mug of his own. Series 7 was not evenly packed. In the 60-bag box Eurobricks counted, Galaxy Patrol, Jungle Boy and Evil Knight turned up five times each; Bagpiper, Daredevil, Tennis Ace, Hippie, Computer Programmer and Viking Woman four times; the other seven only three times. BZPower found the same split two months later, which made those seven the harder ones to finish. The raised dots on the bottom seal that told Series 3 and 4 bags apart were barely visible by now (BZPower), and Brick Fanatics notes they had become unreliable from Series 6, so collectors went by feel.
