LEGO Minifigures Series 16 (2016)

LEGO Minifigures Series 16 (71013, September 2016): all 16 figures, the Banana Guy, and the Spooky Boy who partners Series 12's Spooky Girl.

LEGO Minifigures Series 16, set 71013, came in yellow bags for the third time, after Series 1 and Series 12 (Jay's Brick Blog, Eurobricks, BZPower); its worldwide launch was 1 September 2016 (Wikipedia, Eurobricks). There are 16 figures, and the product page on LEGO.com now carries a Retired label (checked 3 November 2026). The figure everyone talked about was the Banana Guy, in a one-piece plastic banana suit printed with “Banana!”. A 60-bag case holds five of him, making him one of the most common (Jay's Brick Blog, BZPower). The Spooky Boy, in black and white with a spider and a “Spooky Tales” book, was made as a partner for the Spooky Girl of Series 12 from 2014; his LEGO character profile says he has heard there is a Spooky Girl somewhere but cannot find her (Jay's Brick Blog, Brick Fanatics).
