LEGO Minifigures Series 14 (2015)

LEGO Minifigures Series 14: Monsters (71010, 2015): all 16 Halloween monsters, the glow-in-the-dark Specter, three zombies and the box split.

LEGO Minifigures Series 14: Monsters, set 71010, is the 2015 wave given over entirely to monsters and Halloween (Jay's Brick Blog, The Brick Castle). The official date was 1 September 2015 (The Brick Fan, 3 August 2015), but US Target stores had bags from mid-August (The Brick Fan, 12 August 2015). BZPower reported it in shops on 18 September 2015, and the UK blog The Brick Castle found it on sale at the start of October. Every one of its 16 characters has a horror theme. The two ghosts, the Specter and the Banshee, stand on a new translucent ghost-tail piece instead of legs (Jay's Brick Blog, The Brick Castle), and the printed face on the Specter's head glows in the dark, as BZPower and the Eurobricks reviewer both found. There are three zombies, the Zombie Pirate, Zombie Cheerleader and Zombie Businessman (The Brick Castle, Jay's Brick Blog). The Monster Rocker carries an electric guitar. In a 60-bag case the Monster Scientist, Monster Rocker and Zombie Pirate turn up five times, while seven others, among them the Banshee, the Spider Lady and the other two zombies, appear only three times (Jay's Brick Blog, The Brick Fan). As in Series 12, the code on the back of the checklist was for LEGO Minifigures Online (Jay's Brick Blog, Eurobricks); it says nothing about what is in the bag.
