About this item
Beethoven, awake and asleep
Rowlf brings a sheet-music tile for Beethoven’s Sonata No. 8, the Pathétique, and a white bust of the composer with two faces — eyes open on one side, closed on the other (New Elementary, The Brothers Brick). Jay’s Brick Blog notes that the bust is the one from Rowlf’s famous Pathétique number on the show.
The T-shaped clue
Through the foil, the bust’s plinth gives him away: a T-shape with flat sides (Jay’s Brick Blog). His legs carry the same fur print as Fozzie Bear’s, just moulded in a different colour (New Elementary).
