The LEGO Movie 2 minifigures (71023, 2019): the list of all 20 — Emmet, two Lucys, Unikitty, Benny and four Wizard of Oz characters — plus the box split and why there is no Batman.

LEGO Minifigures The LEGO Movie 2 is set 71023: 20 figures for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part (2019), with Lucy in it twice. The bags came out on 1 February 2019 (Wikipedia, Eurobricks), and it is the second LEGO Movie wave, after 71004 (2014, 16 figures). Four characters from the first series return in new versions: Awesome Remix Emmet with headphones; Lucy twice, as Battle-Ready Lucy with binoculars and Flashback Lucy with a microphone and a platinum record; Gone Golfin’ President Business with a golf club; and Apocalypseburg Abe — Abraham Lincoln in post-apocalyptic gear with a battle axe (Eurobricks). Alongside them are Apocalypse Benny with helmet and oxygen tank, Unikitty, Vest Friend Rex with two raptors, Sherry Scratchen-Post & Scarfield, and newcomers Giraffe Guy, Crayon Girl, Hula Lula, Watermelon Dude, The Swamp Creature, Candy Rapper and Kitty Pop. A separate quartet comes from The Wizard of Oz: Dorothy Gale & Toto, Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow and Tin Man (LEGO.com, BrickLink). A 60-bag box held exactly three complete sets — three of each figure (Brickshow, Eurobricks) — so no figure in 71023 is rarer than another. Brickshow, citing Promobricks, reported that each row of 20 bags was one full set; the Eurobricks reviewer saw the same in his box but could not vouch for every box. Brickshow said the bag film was thinner and easier to feel through, though a few figures have their small parts sealed in an inner bag (Eurobricks). Batman is not in this series: he appears in the separate LEGO Batman Movie series 71017 and 71020.
