LAPLLY Song of the Tarot by 52TOYS: all 10 figures and the secret

As of 1 November 2026. LAPLLY Song of the Tarot is a 52TOYS blind box series in which LAPLLY plays the Major Arcana. There are 10 figures: eight regulars, the rare The Hermit Dark and the secret Astrologer. On the 52TOYS global store a single box cost $9.99 on sale (regular price $15.99). All ten, with Have and Want marks, are in the LAPLLY Song of the Tarot checklist.

A blind box series built on the tarot

Instead of classic card art you get small pastel figures with closed eyes, long capes, crowns and magic props, and according to 52TOYS each figure comes paired with its own tarot card. The name is spelled several ways — “52TOYS LAPLLY Song of the Tarot”, “Song of Tarot”, “LAPLLY Tarot”, and often “Lapply” by mistake. Pre-orders opened at overseas retailers in July 2025, and the 52TOYS global store has listed the series since 15 December 2025.

The eight Major Arcana: how to recognise each card

A tarot deck has 22 Major Arcana; 52TOYS picked eight. The props tell them apart even without the box: The Fool wears a two-pointed green jester hat and has a small white companion at her feet, The Magician holds a wand, The High Priestess a book with a crescent moon, and The Star pours water from a jug, just as on the card. The Empress has a crown and a red rose, The Hierophant a tall mitre with a gold cross, and The Hermit a lantern full of stars — 52TOYS calls it a “luminous accessory”.

The Hermit Dark and Astrologer: the two chase figures

52TOYS calls The Hermit Dark rare and Astrologer secret; some shops, HobbyLink Japan among them, list both as secrets. The maker gives no ratios, only “a certain chance”.

The Hermit Dark is the same Hermit — same pose, same lantern — in a black hood with gold stars instead of the white one (52TOYS also labels the regular figure The Hermit Light). Collectors count them as two separate figures.

Astrologer is not a tarot card at all: there is no such card among the 22 Major Arcana. She wears a dark cloak, a crown of stars and small white wings, and her veil is magnetic, so it lifts off to show her closed eyes like the rest of the series.

Blind boxes, whole sets and repeats

Each sealed box holds one random figure about 10 cm tall (9–10 cm depending on the character), made of PVC and ABS. A Whole Set is 8 boxes. The series rules say that if a whole set contains a repeat, 52TOYS takes it back and sends the missing regular — so a whole set gets you all eight regulars, but not necessarily The Hermit Dark or Astrologer. On 1 November 2026 the 52TOYS store sold the whole set for $79.92.
