Gumi Yum Surprise: all 27 Wildlife animals, Golden Lion and Minions
As of 30 October 2026. ZURU's Gumi Yum Surprise is a fruit gummy egg you peel layer by layer until you reach a capsule with a toy, and two of its lines are what collectors are chasing right now: Wildlife, 27 animals with a rare Golden Lion, and Minions & Monsters, 9 figures tied to Illumination's 2026 film, one of them a gold Minion. The Wildlife set goes by other names abroad — Fauna Salvaje in Spain, Safari in Mexico — but it is the same 27 animals. ZURU publishes neither odds nor official figure names, so the lists below follow its collector's guide and the renders on gumiyum.com.
What Gumi Yum Surprise is (and isn't)
Each egg has eight peelable layers of fruit-flavoured gummy around a plastic capsule holding one figure and one accessory. The weight depends on the edition: 22 g for the earlier Wildlife packs listed by Kmart Australia and UK wholesaler Hancocks, 26 g for Minions & Monsters in the UK and for Wildlife in Mexico and Sweden. ZURU says the candy has no gluten, dairy, eggs or nuts; the ingredient lists on its site include gelatine.
The sales claims come from ZURU's distributors via the trade press, not from independent audits: the brand "debuted as the #1 new candy brand in Target" and passed 500 million TikTok views (Asian Trader, 15 December 2025; the TikTok figure again in Retail Times, 19 July 2026), and it reached £4.6m of UK retail sales (World of Sweets via Wholesale Manager, 5 May 2026). ZURU's series page lists seven lines — Minions & Monsters, Transformers, Wildlife, Mini City Blue, Mini City Pink, Dino Squad and Puppy Squad Rescue. This piece covers Wildlife and Minions & Monsters.
Not the same thing: Kinder Surprise or Kinder Joy; TUBBZ Minions Mystery Eggs, whose chase is a Golden Gru; McDonald's Happy Meal Minions toys; and ZURU's own 5 Surprise and Mini Brands capsules.

Minions & Monsters: the 9 figures and the gold Minion
All nine Minions & Monsters figures. Image: ZURU / gumiyum.com
ZURU's site says "Collect all 9 MINIONS" and marks the line as available for a limited time. It mixes five Minions, three monsters and a silver robot, each with an accessory. In the UK, distributor World of Sweets put the 26 g eggs on sale from 1 June 2026 at a recommended £1.50, 18 to a case, a month before the film opened in UK cinemas on 1 July 2026 (Wholesale Manager and Scottish Grocer, both 5 May 2026).
| Figure | Accessory |
|---|---|
| Minion with a movie camera | movie camera |
| Minion with a photo camera | photo camera |
| scared Minion biting his fingers | red book with a tentacle |
| tall Minion with a staff | wooden staff |
| silver robot | blue flag |
| blue fish monster in a leaf skirt | blue crystal |
| red tentacle monster | blue crystal |
| green ghost monster in a white sheet | blue glasses |
| gold Minion (chase) | movie camera |
The gold Minion is a gold version of the movie-camera Minion. ZURU gives no odds for it; New Zealand retailer Chemist Warehouse describes it as the rare golden Minion. The whole line is in the Minions & Monsters set.
How rare is the Golden Lion?

Nobody outside ZURU knows the odds: they aren't printed in the guide, on gumiyum.com or in the retailer listings we checked on 30 October 2026. What is confirmed: the lion is gold, wears a crown, sits in a gold circle in the official guide and carries a "SUPER RARE" badge on ZURU's render; Toywiz calls it "ultra-rare" and Kmart Australia "the rare golden lion". It is one of the 27, so a complete Wildlife set needs it. The Golden Lion page shows how many ColleX collectors have it and how many are still hunting. People also search for the lion "for sale" and on eBay; we haven't verified resale prices, so we don't quote any.

UK: World of Sweets and Bobby's distribute the eggs to more than 10,000 convenience stores (Asian Trader), and Morrisons lists Gumi Yum Minions 26 g. Australia: Coles, where Gumi Yum held the #1 and #6 top-performing SKUs according to Asian Trader, with Woolworths and Kmart also listing the eggs. New Zealand: Woolworths NZ and Chemist Warehouse. Canada: ZURU runs English and French versions of gumiyum.com for Canada, each with a Where to Buy page.
Not confirmed
- The gold Minion's name. Chemist Warehouse NZ calls it "rare golden minion James" on its product page (seen 30 October 2026). ZURU hasn't named any of the figures.
- Later Wildlife waves. Australian retailer Toymate lists a "Gumi Yum Surprise Wildlife Series 3" (product page, 30 October 2026). ZURU's site shows a single Wildlife collection, and nobody has confirmed whether the 22 g and 26 g eggs contain identical figures.
Frequently asked questions
How many animals are in Gumi Yum Wildlife?
There are 27, each with its own accessory, including the rare Golden Lion. The same 27 animals are sold as Fauna Salvaje in Spain and as Safari in Mexico.
How rare is the Gumi Yum Golden Lion?
ZURU doesn't publish odds. The lion is one of the 27 figures, marked "SUPER RARE" on ZURU's own render, and retailers such as Toywiz and Kmart Australia describe it as ultra-rare.
How many Minions & Monsters figures are there?
Nine: five Minions (one of them gold), three monsters and a silver robot, each with an accessory. ZURU's site sells the line as a limited-time collection.
Is the Gumi Yum gold Minion the same as the McDonald's gold Minion?
No. The Gumi Yum one is a small gold Minion holding a movie camera, found in Minions & Monsters eggs. McDonald's Happy Meal Minion toys are a separate promotion.
Is Gumi Yum halal and gluten-free?
ZURU says the candy has no gluten, dairy, eggs or nuts. Its ingredient lists include gelatine — the Polish label specifies beef gelatine — and gumiyum.com doesn't list a halal certification, so check the pack sold in your country.
Do Gumi Yum figures have codes?
The official Wildlife guide doesn't number the figures, and ZURU hadn't published a code list as of 30 October 2026. Collectors tell them apart by the animal and its accessory.
Can I track or trade Gumi Yum figures on ColleX?
Yes. In the Wildlife and Minions & Monsters sets, mark what you Have and what you Want — checklists and marks work in every country. Trading and selling duplicates is available where the ColleX Market is open: set the quantity to two or more and agree the details in chat. Other figure sets are in the Figures section.
