The new ball
The ball is a new element based on LEGO's recent basketball, minus the stripes: nearly smooth, with a slot for the hand to grip and a small hole (Jay's Brick Blog, 21 April 2026). The Rambling Brick adds that the hole lets the ball sit on a stud in place of a minifigure head.
