Butterfly Dream
Butterfly Dream is YUMO sitting cross-legged and barefoot, with long hair that turns from violet at the crown to dark blue and spills in waves onto the ground. Two large yellow-and-black butterflies perch on his head and smaller ones on the strands, over a light blue robe dotted with tiny stars. It is the third figure in YUMO Strange Stories About Dreams.

FAQ
What does YUMO Butterfly Dream mean?+
It points to Zhuangzi’s parable of the philosopher who dreamt he was a butterfly and on waking could not tell who was dreaming whom. At the series exhibition in Suzhou on 28 May 2025 the figure, 梦蝶 in Chinese, had its own space; more in our article.
How is Butterfly Dream different from the other figures?+
By the hair: every other YUMO here has white, cloud-like hair, while this one is violet and dark blue and long enough to pool around the figure. It is also the only one with butterflies.
