Jotoys YUMO Strange Stories About Dreams Series (2025)

YUMO Strange Stories About Dreams by Jotoys (2025): 11 blind box figures based on Chinese tales of the strange, 9 regulars plus the secret Flow and super secret Ink.

YUMO Strange Stories About Dreams is a 2025 blind box series from the Chinese toy brand Jotoys, known in China as 云梦志异. Its artist Wang Kuang (W.K.) from Suzhou says the team studied two classics of Chinese “records of the strange”, the Shan Hai Jing (Classic of Mountains and Seas) and the Soushen Ji (In Search of the Supernatural), and turned the sleepy cloud-haired YUMO into a scholar, a flower spirit, a crane, a wandering swordsman and other figures from old tales. There are nine regular designs, the secret Flow and the super secret Ink. Retailers KikaGoods and Kouhigh Toys give the ratios as 1:9 for each regular, 1:54 for Flow and 1:108 for Ink; Jotoys itself has not published them. Jotoys has no public figure chart for this series, but five shops (KikaGoods, Nekotama, Kouhigh Toys, 1001hobbies, Jedishop) list the figures in the same order, and ColleX follows it: 1 Dust Off, YUMO in red and pink with a crook-topped staff and a red lantern; 2 Deja Vu, in a pink dress with a paper umbrella and blossoms in the hair; 3 Butterfly Dream, with long dark blue hair and yellow butterflies; 4 Flower Soul, in blue under a branch of pink blossoms; 5 Ink Painting, holding a big brush inside a wave of dark ink; 6 Crane, wearing a white mask with a crane head in the hair and dark wings; 7 Neon Dress, in orange playing a pipa lute; 8 Scholar, in grey with a book and a tiny teal spirit at his shoulder; 9 Knight Errant, under a wide blue hat. No. 10 Flow (clear blue) and No. 11 Ink (smoky black) show YUMO upside down in a swirl. Sales in China began on 24 May 2025 in MINISO LAND stores, and on 28 May an exhibition opened in Suzhou with separate spaces for Butterfly Dream, Flower Soul with Scholar, and Crane. The figures are about 8 cm tall; sellers list PVC, ABS, a magnet, paper and polyester fibre, and each box holds one figure and an ID card. KikaGoods sells a 9-box whole set and says the regulars in it do not repeat; the secrets are not guaranteed. This is the third YUMO line on ColleX, after YUMO Magic Manual and YUMO Cute Pet Family, both smaller 4–7 cm mini series about magic objects and animal hoods. The ColleX checklist has all 11 figures: Nos. 1–9 regular, No. 10 Flow, No. 11 Ink. Tick off the heroes you already own, list the ones you still need, and ColleX points you to collectors with a spare to swap.
