Topps Premier League 2026/27: hobby box, case hits and rookie cards

Updated 18 October 2026. Two months after the UK launch, the questions about Topps Flagship Premier League 2026/27 have moved on from "when" to "which box". Retail packets, displays and tins arrived on 6 August 2026; the hobby box followed on 17 September 2026 (Better Retailing; some shops listed 16 September). The base set is 300 cards, and the full Topps Premier League 2026/27 checklist is on ColleX with a club filter. This guide covers what the checklist can't: what each format actually gives you.
One thing to keep apart: the Topps Premier League sticker album and the separate Chrome, Merlin and Royalty releases each have their own checklists. Everything below is Flagship only.
What's in a hobby box
Eight 25-card packs, a three-card Black Edge pack and three hits — autographs, relics or autographed relics. Each box also has four numbered parallels and two Chrome Classics. That is 200 cards in the main packs, so a hobby box is a hit box, not a set builder: it cannot reach 300 base numbers even with zero duplicates. Nor can a 28-packet display (280 cards).

The standard packet holds 10 cards; starter packs are on shelves too.
Case hits and true rarities
Base cards are unnumbered. Scarcity starts with the PL Parallel (about one in four packs) and Gold Rainbow Laser, then the coloured foils numbered from /499 down to /5, and the FoilFractor 1/1. Case hits sit above that and are not guaranteed per box: Home Pitch, Perfect Storm and The Rise in hobby, Billboard Material, Carpe Diem and Quasar in retail. That split matters for player collectors — Florian Wirtz, for example, has Perfect Storm PS 11 in hobby and Billboard Material BB 13 in retail, and no autograph at all this year. The base autograph set runs to 165 cards.
Future Stars and the 37 rookies
Cards 1–20 are Future Stars — Max Dowman 1, Junior Kroupi 4, Estêvão Willian 8, Rio Ngumoha 15 — and none of them carries the RC tag. The 37 RC cards all fall between 21 and 300. Among them is JJ Gabriel 198 of Manchester United, with five hits in the release and a Diamond Rookies DR 5 insert from a five-card set. Dowman has five signed cards, including the DA-DS dual autograph with Bukayo Saka.
England players and Salah
Declan Rice (28), Bukayo Saka (32), Cole Palmer (104) and Phil Foden (183) also appear for England in the Panini World Cup 2026 sticker album, so one ColleX account tracks both. Mohamed Salah has no base card: Liverpool's block (161–174) skips him, and he appears only as the BA-MS autograph, the BR-MS relic and Golden Boot GB 3.
