Kinder Surprise Disney × Playmobil: all 18 figures and capsule codes

A new Kinder Surprise series is out: 18 Disney and Pixar characters in Playmobil's blocky style. This is the classic Kinder Surprise — the yellow capsule inside a chocolate egg — not Kinder Joy. The figures are only starting to turn up on shelves, so the checklist is useful well before the set is finished.

The thing to know before you start: the set is built in pairs. Every film is represented by two figures, and nine pairs make eighteen slots.

The code is printed on the capsule itself — that is what you check a figure against.

The numbering is not continuous: there are gaps between VS401 and VS437 because other Kinder series took those numbers. The set holds exactly 18 pieces — there are no more.

Every film gets two figures. Nine pairs, eighteen slots

The nine pairs

That changes how the hunt works. Pulling one half of a pair is easy; closing the pair is harder than it looks, because in an eighteen-piece set the odds of getting that one specific partner are the same as getting any other figure. So duplicates pile up faster than pairs close, and swapping beats buying.

It is Kinder Surprise, not Kinder Joy

The confusion is permanent, so here it is plainly.

• Kinder Surprise — the classic chocolate egg with a yellow plastic capsule and a toy inside. This series is one of those.
• Kinder Joy — the two-halved tub: cream with cocoa balls on one side, a toy on the other. Super Mario and Jurassic World are running there right now — different sets.
• Kinder Maxi — the big eggs. According to the collector catalogue ue-ei-punkt.de, the Maxi format carries separate large Playmobil Disney figures under codes VS809, VS810 and VS811 — Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Tinker Bell. Buzz Lightyear exists only there: he is not in the ordinary eggs.

So if you are hunting Buzz, you are hunting in the wrong format.

How it differs from last year's DC × Playmobil

This is Kinder's second collaboration with Playmobil. Against the DC set, which is also in the catalogue:

The style is identical — the recognisable blocky Playmobil figure with movable arms. What changed is the principle: instead of "assemble the Justice League", it is "assemble the pairs".

What it costs

There is no price yet, and putting one up would be premature. The set has only just started appearing in shops, and there are too few real listings to compute a median.

For a sense of how this usually goes: in Kinder Joy One Piece an ordinary figure settled at around 90 ₴ on the Ukrainian secondary market about a month after release, and resellers asked noticeably more in the first weeks. Prices for Disney × Playmobil will go into the catalogue once there is something real to base them on — we do not post invented estimates.

What to do right now

Check the code on the capsule, not the figure. The code is the only reliable way to tell whether you already have it: there are two characters from each film, and they are easy to mix up in a hurry.

Do not buy singles in the first few weeks. That is the most expensive moment in the life of any Kinder series.

Collect in pairs. Nine pairs are nine small targets instead of one big eighteen-piece one. The set closes more easily that way, and swapping is simpler too: collectors are far more often looking for "the other half" than for a random figure.

Mark your duplicates. In the checklist, mark spares as "Have" with a quantity of 2 or more and the gaps as "Want" — the platform finds who to swap with.

Not in the ordinary eggs. According to ue-ei-punkt.de, Buzz appears only in the Maxi format under code VS810, alongside Woody (VS809) and Tinker Bell (VS811).

How is it different from Kinder DC × Playmobil?
Same Playmobil styling, different universe and a different structure: DC had 16 separate heroes and villains under codes VC291–VC306; this one has 18 figures grouped into nine pairs by film.
