Happy Meal toys right now USA: Disney Boo Buckets, October 2026
Updated: October 22, 2026. The Happy Meal toy at McDonald's in the USA right now is the bucket itself: since Tuesday, October 20, 2026, participating US restaurants serve the Happy Meal in a Disney Villains Boo Bucket instead of the box. There are five to collect — Jafar, Ursula, Scar, Cruella de Vil and Maleficent — each with a villain-inspired lid and stickers, for a limited time and with no end date announced. Before the buckets, the Happy Meal toys were SpongeBob x One Piece: 15 toys from September 15. Below are the five buckets, every US Happy Meal of 2026 with its start date and number of toys, and what is known about the next one. All five buckets are in our Disney Villains Boo Buckets checklist. We update this page every time the US Happy Meal changes.
Happy Meal toys right now: Disney Villains Boo Buckets
The October 20 launch was reported by CNN (carried by FOX19) and FOX 10 Phoenix on October 16 and by Good Morning America on launch day; The Boo Buckets are listed on McDonald's USA Menu Spotter with the start date 10.20.2026 (checked October 22, 2026). If you are looking for the Happy Meal toy this week, in late October 2026, it is the pail: it replaces the usual box, with the yellow handle shaped like the Golden Arches and a villain looking out from a black band around it.
| Boo Bucket | Color | Disney movie |
|---|---|---|
| Jafar | red | Aladdin |
| Ursula | purple | The Little Mermaid |
| Scar | orange | The Lion King |
| Cruella de Vil | white | One Hundred and One Dalmatians |
| Maleficent | green | Sleeping Beauty |
The colors are from GMA's captions to the official images (October 20, 2026) and match the leak Mickey Visit reported on October 13; the movies are as FOX 10 Phoenix lists them (October 16). GMA ties Maleficent to the live-action Maleficent as well. With each bucket come a lid and stickers in the villain's style; none of the reports we read mentions a separate toy, and no price is named — the bucket comes with a Happy Meal. Whether you can ask for a particular villain, the announcements do not say.
People search for them as Boo Buckets, Boo Bucket, Halloween pails, Happy Meal Halloween buckets and Disney Villains Boo Buckets — it is the same 2026 McDonald's Halloween Happy Meal. The history of the pails since 1986 and more on each design are in our news Boo Buckets 2026: the five Disney Villains pails.

When McDonald's USA announces the next Happy Meal, the date goes on this page.

Since May, a new US Happy Meal has started every four to five weeks — May 5, June 9, July 14, August 18, September 15 and October 20 — and all of those dates are Tuesdays. Of the eight starts in the table, only The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (Thursday, March 26) was not on a Tuesday. That is the pattern so far, not an announcement.
Five of these sets have checklists on ColleX: Stranger Things: Tales From '85 (12 items in the ColleX catalog), Squishmallows FIFA World Cup 26 (23), BT21 (10), SpongeBob x One Piece (15) and the five Boo Buckets.
SpongeBob x One Piece: the Happy Meal before the buckets
From September 15, 2026, participating US restaurants gave one of 15 toys with the Happy Meal (Dexerto, August 31; Sporked, September 2): Bikini Bottom characters dressed as One Piece pirates — SpongeBob as Monkey D. Luffy, Patrick as Zoro, Squidward as Sanji, Mrs. Puff as Big Mom, the Flying Dutchman as Blackbeard. Dexerto reported the date on August 31, two weeks ahead; it reported the Boo Buckets' October 20 date on October 15, five days before launch.
The US set is the largest version we track: in the ColleX catalog the European assortments of this Happy Meal have fewer pieces. In the ColleX catalog the SpongeBob x One Piece Happy Meal has all 15 from the US set; three of them — Barnacle Boy x Koby, SpongeBob x Gear 5 Luffy and Mermaid Man x Monkey D. Garp — we have confirmed only in the US line-up. Whether restaurants still hand out SpongeBob x One Piece toys after October 20, the reports do not say.
What's the next Happy Meal toy? (November 2026)
As of October 22, 2026, we have found no McDonald's USA announcement of the Happy Meal that follows the Boo Buckets — so there is no official November 2026 or December 2026 Happy Meal date yet. The start dates of the last two were reported shortly before launch — SpongeBob x One Piece 15 days ahead, the Boo Buckets five days ahead. We add the next one here, with the date and the number of toys, as soon as it is announced.
Rumors / not confirmed
- Pokémon cards in the Happy Meal, November 5 – December 9, 2026. On September 28, 2026, Attractions Magazine and Dexerto reported, citing PokéBeach, that a Pokémon Trading Card Game Happy Meal would run in the US from November 5 to December 9, 2026, with a 15-card set sold in four-card packs, six of the cards in confetti holofoil. Both outlets wrote that McDonald's and The Pokémon Company had not announced it, and Attractions Magazine adds that PokéBeach called the details preliminary. We have found no official announcement as of October 22, 2026. Earlier Pokémon Happy Meals and the UK side are in Pokémon Happy Meal 2026 UK.
We will move this to the main text if McDonald's USA confirms it, or remove it if the dates change.

Spain and Ukraine have BT21 this fall — the toys US restaurants had in July. The country-by-country table is on our UK page, Happy Meal toys right now in the UK.

Every set above with a ColleX checklist works the same way: mark the toys you have as Have and the ones you are missing as Want, and the list shows what is left to find. Start with the five Boo Buckets; the rest of the Happy Meal sets are in the McDonald's section.
