What past years do show (sources are under each year below):

• Shop dates. In every year from 2016 to 2025 with a confirmed date (all but 2018), the Christmas plush reached stores between 14 and 28 November — except 2020, when Aldi sold online first on 15 November and put stock in stores from 6 December.
• Announcement to shelf. In 2024 the plush release came out on 6 November for stores on 14 November; in 2025 it came out on 20 November for stores on 27 November.
• Advert first. The toys follow the Christmas advert: it premiered on 7 November 2019, 11 November 2021, 10 November 2022, 6 November 2023 and 4 November 2024 and 3 November 2025, when the first part of Kevin's proposal story came out.

2025: Kevin and Katie's wedding — in stores 27 November

Kevin's tenth Christmas: the 2025 advert is a three-part story in which Kevin proposes to Katie. Aldi announced the plush on 20 November 2025 and put it in stores from 27 November, while stocks lasted.

2024: Kevin's Christmas mission — in stores 14 November

The advert premiered on 4 November 2024, Kevin's ninth year: Kevin and Katie use disguises to win back the Spirit of Christmas from Dr Humbug. The plush reached stores on 14 November 2024.

2023: William Conker's Christmas factory — in stores 16 November

A Willy Wonka-style advert, first shown on 6 November 2023, sends Kevin into William Conker's magical factory. Aldi put the plush in stores from 16 November 2023 and limited plush toys to two per customer.

2022: Home Alone — online and in stores 17 November

In the advert, first shown on 10 November 2022, Katie and the kids fly to Paris and Kevin is left home alone. The Kevin and Family range went on sale online and in stores on 17 November 2022, when more than 70,000 shoppers queued on Aldi's website, according to Retail Gazette and Grocery Gazette. Grocery Gazette names a Plush Christmas Footballer Set with Ronaldi, Bean, Messy, Marrowdona and MmmBAP, which sold out online by 10am; Aldi's kids tree decoration set cost £2.99. We could not confirm the 2022 plush prices from two sources, so they are left out.

2021: A Christmas Carrot — 25 November

A Dickensian advert, first shown on 11 November 2021, with Marcus Rashford voicing Marcus Radishford. The plush went on sale online and in stores on 25 November 2021.

Aldi pledged £10,000 from Marcus Radishford sales to the charity Magic Breakfast. PlayPennies reported a limit of two per customer; Aldi's release doesn't mention one.

2020: online first, stores from 6 December

The 2020 advert brought in Wingman Turkey, Harry the Hedgehog and Grate Grandma and Grandad. Because of demand and social distancing, Aldi sold online first, from 8am on Sunday 15 November 2020, and put stock in stores from 6 December, two of each character per customer.

2019: the circus — in stores 28 November

The circus advert premiered on 7 November 2019, with Russell Sprout and his Leafy Blinders and the tomato Tiny Tom. Online pre-orders opened on 24 November and the range was in stores on 28 November 2019 — 23 Kevin products in all.

Every plush variant was limited to two per customer, and standard-size plush was sold online only in bundles.

2018: Pascal the Parsnip — late November

The carrot kids joined, and Pascal the Parsnip was the villain. HuffPost UK listed the standard plush at £3.99 and the metre-tall giant Kevin at £19.99, and by 23 November 2018 Kevin had sold out in stores and online. Fox News reported the giant Kevin sold out online by 27 November, with proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. A year later Aldi said that in 2018 "over half of the range sold out within 24 hours". We have not confirmed the exact launch day.

2017: Katie arrives — 23 November

Kevin met Katie in the 2017 advert, and Kevin and Katie soft toys went on sale from 23 November 2017 at £2.99 each, in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

2016: the first Kevin — 24 November

Kevin's first Christmas advert. Aldi sold a limited-edition Kevin soft toy at £2.99 from 24 November 2016, with 100% of profits going to Barnardo's. The Effie Awards case study says the plush sold out in half an hour.

How the Kevin the Carrot Specialbuy drop works

• Specialbuys. Kevin plush is sold in Aldi's middle aisle as a Specialbuy, and Aldi's releases repeat the same line: "once they're gone, they're gone".
• Limits. Aldi has limited plush to two per customer or two per character in 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024 and 2025 (see each year).
• Online. Aldi sold Kevin plush online in 2019 (bundles and pre-orders), 2020 (online first) and 2021–2022 (online and in stores on the same day). The 2023, 2024 and 2025 press releases give only an in-store date.

It is the same rhythm as the UK's other collectible drops, such as the Happy Meal toys running right now and McDonald's Build-A-Bear plush clips.

We found no Aldi press release about an Easter or World Cup Kevin in 2026 (checked 27 October 2026).

The carrot family: who's who

Kevin arrived in 2016 and Katie in 2017; their children Chantenay, Jasper and Baby have been part of the plush range since at least 2018, and in the 2025 advert Kevin proposed to Katie. Caulidog, the family dog, joined in 2025. The other names in the table above are co-stars from that year's advert; Tiny Tom is the one who came back, in 2019 and again in 2021.

When do the Kevin the Carrot toys come out in 2026?
Aldi hasn't said. As of 27 October 2026 there is no 2026 Kevin the Carrot release date on the Aldi UK press centre. In the years with a confirmed date between 2016 and 2025, the Christmas plush reached stores between 14 and 28 November, except in 2020, when stores got stock on 6 December.

What are all the Kevin the Carrot characters?
The family is Kevin, Katie, their three children: Chantenay, Jasper and Baby, and the dog Caulidog (2025). The standard Christmas plush cost £2.99 in 2016 and 2017 and £3.99 in most years since; in 2025 Kevin and Katie were £3.99 and the costume Kevins £3.49. Larger versions cost more: My Pal Kevin £9.99 (2024), giant Kevin £19.99 (2018, 2019, 2020).

Can you buy Kevin the Carrot toys online?
In some years. Aldi sold Kevin plush online in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, in 2020 even before the shops. For 2023, 2024 and 2025 Aldi's press releases give only an in-store date.

Is there a limit on Kevin the Carrot toys?
Usually yes. Aldi limited plush to two per customer or two per character in 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024 and 2025; in 2025 the limit applied to Caulidog, the Polar Bear and the kids.

Is there an Easter or World Cup Kevin the Carrot in 2026?
We found no Aldi press release about one as of 27 October 2026. Earlier non-Christmas Kevins were the Easter bunny and lamb (March 2024), Team GB Kevin (July 2024) and two rainbow Pride Kevins (June 2025), all £3.99.

Are old Kevin the Carrot toys worth anything?
Aldi sold them at fixed Specialbuy prices, and we have not verified resale prices, so we don't quote any. In November 2018 HuffPost UK reported eBay listings above £1,000 — asking prices, not confirmed sales.

Can I swap duplicate Kevin the Carrot toys on ColleX?
