Sisyphean Work
Sisyphean Work is third in the lineup and the most direct reference in the series. Black-haired Hirono in a black suit climbs a rocky slope, bent under a huge grey boulder roped to his back, a bronze crown slipping sideways on his head. The figure stands on a slab of rock, so it sits steadily on a shelf despite the angle.

FAQ
What does Hirono Sisyphean Work mean?+
In Greek myth Sisyphus, king of Ephyra (Corinth), must roll a stone uphill forever, only for it to roll back down (Homer, Odyssey, book XI). The author of our article sees the stone as endless work tasks and to-do lists that grow faster than you can tick them off.
Why does Sisyphean Work wear a crown?+
POP MART does not explain it. The crown is clear on the official photo, and in the myth Sisyphus was indeed a king, but the maker has not said whether that is intended.
