Hirono Tamed Wildgrass · 2026 · POP MART
Canned Dreams
Canned Dreams is the second figure in the series. Hirono wears a white fish costume with fins, a tail and a rough cross-stitch on the belly, and dozes half-tucked into an open tin. The label reads HIRONO CANNED SALTED FISH in big letters. His eyes are half shut and he looks like someone who will not be woken up.

FAQ
What does Hirono Canned Dreams mean?+
POP MART does not say. It helps to know that “salted fish” (咸鱼) is Chinese slang for a person who has given up on dreams and ambition, a saying made famous by Stephen Chow’s film Shaolin Soccer (2001). Whether the designers meant it, the maker has not said. The author of our article sees a cosy place where it is easy to get stuck.
What is written on the Canned Dreams tin?+
HIRONO CANNED SALTED FISH. The label is clearly visible on POP MART’s official photo.
