LEGO Minifigures Harry Potter Series 2 — set 71028 — went on sale on 1 September 2020 with 16 characters, among them Harry’s parents James and Lily Potter and the ghost Moaning Myrtle (The Brothers Brick, Jay’s Brick Blog, Wikipedia). It is the second Harry Potter series of Collectible Minifigures after 71022 (2018, 22 figures), and as of October 2026 the Wikipedia, BrickLink and BrickNav series lists show no third. Harry’s parents finally come as a pair: Lily Potter holding baby Harry, James Potter with a tile of their portrait together. Moaning Myrtle floats on a clear stand with Tom Riddle’s diary, Bellatrix Lestrange wears Azkaban prison clothes, Griphook carries the Sword of Gryffindor, Kingsley Shacklebolt a broomstick, Fred Weasley a betting briefcase and George Weasley a Marauder’s Map tile (The Brothers Brick, Jay’s Brick Blog). Ginny Weasley and Professor Sprout complete the line-up. Six characters appear in both Harry Potter series, and the accessories tell them apart. The Series 1 Dumbledore holds a Pensieve dish, the Series 2 Headmaster Albus Dumbledore has Fawkes the phoenix; Neville trades his Series 1 mandrake for the Monster Book of Monsters, and Luna swaps The Quibbler for her Gryffindor lion hat. Harry now carries a Half-Blood Prince potions book, while Hermione and Ron hold butterbeer.
