Why all black
The costume designers based his ball look on Shakespeare in Love: “The goal is you don't remember what he's wearing to the ball — you remember him,” they told Netflix Tudum. His mask was moulded in leather from a cast of Luke Thompson's face, close in shape to most of the other guests' masks.

He is also in Series 1 (item 32570) with the Season 1–3 characters, unmasked there. In Series 2 his partner on the bag is Sophie Bridgerton as the Lady in Silver.
