Topps Premier League 2026/27 cards: base set, parallels, inserts and boxes

A modern football card release comes in layers. The base set is the numbered run you complete: in Topps Flagship Premier League 2026/27 that is 300 cards, with Future Stars on 1–20 and then a block of 14 cards for each of the 20 clubs on 21–300. Rookie cards carry the RC logo; this season 37 base cards have it, all numbered between 21 and 300. The base cards themselves are not serial-numbered. Scarcity sits in the layers above them: parallels of the same card (the PL Parallel turns up about once in four packs, the coloured foils are numbered from /499 down to /5 and the FoilFractor is a 1/1), inserts with their own designs, and autograph and relic cards.

What you can pull depends on the box. A hobby box holds eight 25-card packs, a three-card Black Edge pack and three hits — autographs, relics or autographed relics — plus four numbered parallels and two Chrome Classics. Retail has 10-card packets, 28-packet displays and tins; the Golden Boot tin adds a nine-card Golden Boot set found in no other format. Case hits are split as well: Home Pitch, Perfect Storm and The Rise in hobby, Billboard Material, Carpe Diem and Quasar in retail. Retail went on sale in the UK on 6 August 2026 and the hobby box on 17 September 2026. Topps Chrome, Merlin, Royalty and the Topps Premier League sticker album are separate releases with checklists of their own.

No single box completes the base set: the main packs of a hobby box give 200 cards and a display 280, against 300 numbers and before any duplicates, so the rest comes from swaps or single cards. On ColleX the set is a grid of the 300 base numbers that you can filter by club or by Future Stars; parallels, inserts and autographs are not part of it. Mark each number “Have” or “Want” and set a quantity on spares, and the page counts your progress and shows who holds the cards you are missing. ColleX does not show prices for these cards yet (October 2026).
